Welcome to The Garrett Inn

The Garrett Inn is a family-run staple of Deep Creek Lake, tucked between two Maryland state parks. From the patchwork quilts on the beds to the fire pit, every detail is meant to slow the day down and bring you closer together.

Whether you come for a weekend on the lake or a week in the mountains, you will be treated like family — because that is how we have always done it.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you plan to arrive late, please let us know so we can help make your arrival go as smooth as possible.

  • Is The Garrett Inn pet-friendly?

    Yes! We’re happy to welcome pets in our designated pet-friendly accommodations. There is a $45 per night pet fee, which covers up to two pets per room.


    We just ask that you let us know in advance if you’ll be bringing a pet so we can make sure the fee is added to your reservation. We look forward to having you and your furry friend stay with us!

  • What is included in the rooms?

    Every room includes air conditioning, heating, wireless internet, television, a coffee maker, mini refrigerator, microwave, crisp daily-fresh linens, and cozy country quilts.

  • What are the lodging options?

    We offer Double Queen Bedrooms with two queen pillow-top beds for up to 4 guests. 

  • What parking and property amenities are available?

    Guests enjoy free parking, an outdoor firepit, a picnic area, printer access, non-smoking rooms  and CCTV outside the property for added peace of mind.

  • How do booking and cancellation details work?

    Non-Refundable Rate

    Full payment is required at the time of booking. You may cancel your reservation at any time, but the payment is non-refundable.


    Refundable Rate

    No payment is required when you make your reservation. A credit card is kept on file and charged upon arrival. You can cancel your reservation anytime before midnight the night before your scheduled arrival without being charged.


    Reservations made before September 21, 2026 are subject to our previous cancellation policy. These reservations require a credit card on file and may be canceled up to 48 hours before arrival without a charge. The card is charged upon arrival.

  • What should Deep Creek Lake visitors know before arriving?

    Pack for changing mountain weather, and plan for year-round fun like skiing, boating, fishing, hiking, golfing, motorcycling, and bird watching. Our team is always glad to share local tips.
